Connected manufacturing
Machines, ERP and scheduling in one data stream. The DWM Monitor connects your machines to the Digital WorkMate platform, in both directions.
How the connection works
The Monitor runs on a PC in your factory network and makes its own encrypted connection to the platform. No ports into your machine network need to be opened.

What is possible today
- DWM Monitor (edge agent)Available
An agent on the factory network that reads machines and communicates with the DWM platform in real time.
- CNC connections (Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens Sinumerik)Available
Machine state, active program, tool, feed and speed, running times, cycle counts and alarms.
- OPC UA read and writeAvailable
Subscribe, poll, read and write OPC UA nodes; commands to the machine with status feedback.
- NC programs to the machineAvailable
Send NC programs from DWM to the controller and record program runs.
- Machine states and changeover timesAvailable
Configurable states per machine with allowed transitions and changeover times, used by the scheduler.
- Energy-price-driven schedulingAvailable
Start operations automatically once the electricity price drops below a per-machine threshold (NL, BE, DE/LU, FR).
- Energy dataPartial
Market prices are fetched hourly and power per machine is configurable; measured energy consumption only through an OPC UA signal from the machine.
Read
Machine state (idle, active, error), active program and line, tool, feed and speed, spindle and machine running time, cycle counts, messages and alarms.
Write
Through OPC UA nodes configured as writable, DWM sends values and commands to the machine. Every command reports a status back: pending, executing, completed or failed.
Use
Machine data feeds production status, running times and actual costing. Energy-price-driven scheduling starts operations when the electricity price is low.
Which signals and commands are available depends on the controller and the OPC UA server of the machine. In a demo we look at your machines together.
